This spatial practice illustrates how overlapping immaterial field structures can be examined and regulated with the aim of creating a more coherent experience of the sleeping zone.

Spatial Situation

During the atmospheric assessment of the bedroom, several overlapping immaterial field structures were registered around the position of the bed.

At the same time, the client described an experience of nocturnal pressure and a sense of being watched or drained during sleep. The physical geometry of the room offered no immediate explanation for the experience.

Instead, the atmospheric analysis indicated an immaterial convergence around the sleeping zone as a possible point of attention for the subsequent work.

Intervention

The registered field structures were worked with through atmospheric modulation, with the aim of creating clearer boundaries and greater coherence around the client’s sleeping zone.

The bed was subsequently moved slightly to align its position with the recalibrated immaterial structure and support a more coherent experience of the room.

Principle

This practice explores how the regulation of overlapping field structures and minor physical adjustments can contribute to clearer atmospheric boundaries around the home’s sleeping areas.

The physical placement and the immaterial field structure are regarded here as interconnected layers within the overall spatial experience.

Observed Effect

Following the intervention, the bedroom was experienced as clearer, more contained and safer.

The client described a reduction in the perceived nocturnal unrest and a sleeping zone that felt more protected and supportive of rest.
